Morning Meal Masters: The 10 Best Breakfast Restaurants in Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas has a ton of terrific breakfast spots, with most offering both Mexican and American favorites, as well as their own signature specialties. Marina based restaurant Solomon’s Landing, for example, is best known before noon for its decadent waffles – most notably, “the waffle of your dreams,” which is lathered in mixed berry compote, rich Canadian maple syrup, fresh whipping cream, and chocolate chips. Restaurant row standout Mama’s Royal Café, meanwhile, is acclaimed for its rich and filling French Toast, stuffed with cream cheese, layered with fruits and berries, and flambéed in orange liqueur.

Chilaquiles are perhaps the most frequently touted Mexican specialty, and they’re particularly well made at Lolita’s, one of the oldest restaurants in Cabo San Lucas – the owner’s mother started the business with a mobile cart in 1967, before the transpeninsular highway had been built, or the local marina dredged – as well as one of the city’s finest purveyors of traditional Mexican cuisine.

Visitors seeking freshly made coffee and pastries will want to check out The Cabo Bakery, whose owner is descended from a long line of talented German bakers; Baja Beans, maker of fine coffees from Puebla sourced beans; and Pan di Bacco, which offers Neapolitan style baked goods, as well as excellent quiches and frittatas.

The excellent breakfast café at The Bungalows Hotel would also place highly on this list, if only it were open to the public. Casasola Café & Brunch, La Casa de Don Juan and Infusion Art Caffe all deserve honorable mention.
