Omni Hotel Celebrates One Year in Nashville


On Sept. 30, the Omni Nashville Hotel and its nearly-800 associates celebrated its first anniversary in the heart of Nashville with a champagne toast and a large replica cake of the hotel.

“We had a wonderful first year and have been enthusiastically embraced by the Nashville community,” says Dan Piotrowski, general manager for the Omni.

The 21-story, 800-room luxury hotel opened its doors in 2013 in the vibrant SoBro district, just steps from the honky-tonks of Broadway and many of the city’s most memorable attractions, like the Ryman Auditorium and the three-level Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, of which the hotel is fully integrated.

Nationally, Omni Hotels & Resorts creates authentic guest experiences at 60 distinct luxury hotels and resorts across North America, each showcasing the local flavor while offering four-diamond services.

In Nashville, the hotel aims to represent all of the city’s vibrant music, food and artistic culture. Kitchen Notes serves breakfast, lunch and supper daily, featuring traditional Southern dishes handed down from generation to generation and made from treasured family recipes.

Barlines shows live music seven days a week and offers visitors bites from a menu of Southern comfort food, along with Tennessee-made libations.

Bongo Java, a longtime Nashville coffee staple, features certified organic and fair-trade coffee, dark roasted coffee, handcrafted espresso drinks and fresh baked goods all day. Five & TENN, the hotel’s luxury retail venue, features items from local and regional establishments.

The formula seems to be working. In its first year, the Omni has hit several milestones: they’ve already served 490,000 banquet covers; hosted 950 meetings and/or events; parked 121,479 cars, not including day parking; served 50,000 cheeseburgers out of on-site restaurants Barlines and Kitchen Notes; brewed 7,543 pounds of coffee at Bongo Java and Five & TENN, poured 11,904 Jack Daniels whiskey drinks; and served 20,000 pounds of prime steak to 35,000 guests at Bob’s Steak & Chop House.

And city visitors are not the only ones who have been adding to those impressive numbers. Locals are drawn to the many amenities, too, like the Mokara Spa, which provides a full-service spa experience.

Plus, the hotel recently launched Wine Down Wednesday. Each week through the end of 2014, guests and locals alike can book the Wine Down offer for $99, which includes a cocktail or mocktail and a 50-minute massage, facial or body treatment.

Afterwards, hit up Nashville’s only rooftop pool deck, with its stunning skyline views, cabanas and a seasonal rooftop bar.
